I would like to thank the staff at Pace, Janine, Mart, Margret and Kathy for the understanding and support throughout my stay here. I am grateful for the compassion shown to me. I want to thank Janine for going out of her way so that my daughter and I were able to have a relationship again. Doing the 12 step programme I have hope again. People like us can recover and stay recovered.
Individual Counselling
Individual counselling helped me on so many levels. Janine helped my relationship with my daughter which did become a problem for me at some stage. Margret was so understanding when it came to me speaking to my family.
Group Counselling
I have enjoyed all the group counselling. I learnt so much about myself during those sessions. They are always very informative.
Step Work Counselling
Step work counselling with Mart also taught me just how this programme can keep me sober. How I minimised situations, the self-pity and guilt I experienced.
Meals
I have always enjoyed meals, they are well balanced and we always get more than enough.
Fellowship
Being in the fellowship has also helped me see things in a different light knowing that we can recover. It gives me hope to see those people who have been clean for so many years.
General
I am grateful that I came to Pace Recovery. I had no expectations and was pleasantly surprised with the staff, the understanding and compassion they showed me.
