Testimony: "I now have the tools that I can apply and practice daily"

Updated: Mar 9, 2023

Testimony: Anonymous - DM

Before coming to PRC Recovery I thought that all the solutions and answers I was looking for on how to fix my life and gain back control of my life were at the bottom of an empty bottle of alcohol. The only things I found was my pride and dignity lost. Thanks to PRC Recovery and the NA fellowship I now have the tools (step work, meetings and inventory) that I can apply and practise daily. I strongly believe that recovery is possible. I am now able to accept God back into my life. My sincere gratitude to all the staff members. Thank you for all the love, support and guidance. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this wonderful family. May God bless you. I will always keep you in my prayers.

Individual Counselling

During my experience and time here I did not receive any individual counselling. There were some issues besides alcohol that I would have liked to have been given the opportunity to discuss on a more personal basis. I feel that the counsellors should make themselves more available for that.

Group Counselling

I found the classroom sessions very informative and helpful. The weekly NA meetings in particular were very helpful.

Step Work Counselling

Step work is the most important part of my journey in recovery and that was reinforced daily. I am grateful to the staff for that.

Facility

The facility is great. Thanks to Janine and Mart for their continued efforts on improving even more.

Meals

The food during my time here has always been delicious. Thanks to all involved.

Fellowship

Thanks to Narcotics Anonymous I feel part of a community and I am grateful to be associated with NA.

General

One of the first things I was told here was “The good news is we do recover, the bad news is we are your new family” that is how I feel. Thanks for letting me be part of the PRC Recovery family.
