My journey actually didn't begin great. I was willing don't get me wrong but I wasn't open-minded about the whole situation. But I learned a lot in the NA program. It taught me to become open-minded about what I've been and have to do. What I have learned is that yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today is a gift that's why we call it the present. So just for today, I will stay sober.
They taught me more about myself. I learned how to open up & express how I feel. I also learned more about how I feel and why.
The classes were very informative & taught me a lot about how life itself is hard and showed me more about stuff I knew but did not want to know.
Step Work Counselling
Mart taught me how step work will help me in my recovery. Onthene made me also realise how the God of my understanding works in my life.
At first, it was not good but as time went by I adapted to situations. Beds are not good. Classes are great and tv on par.
Honestly, the meals are average not enough but not too small sometimes filling sometimes not.
The meetings give/gave me a sense of belonging and help me with my recovery. They allow me to be aware of where I currently am & where I was.
They can improve the sessions you get with the social workers & counsellors. And allow some free time during the week.
