What inspired you to work in this field?

What inspired me to work in this field is my own journey as a recovering addict. Not only do I contribute to the well-being of others but also to build a solid foundation for my own recovery journey. I see this work as an opportunity to continually learn, grow, and evolve as a person, ultimately becoming the best version of myself.

What motivated you to join the team?

I was once someone who had lost themselves, who had given up on life. However, through the support and guidance provided by Pace Recovery, I found my way back. This place became more than just a treatment centre; it became a home. I know firsthand the profound impact this program can have on individuals' lives.

What unique qualities or experience do you bring to your role?

One of the unique qualities I bring to the team is my intimate familiarity with Pace Recovery—I know the place inside and out. I understand the rules and protocols, having lived through them myself. My experience, coupled with a deep willingness to learn and grow, fuels my commitment to do whatever it takes to excel in my role.

What aspects of your job do you find most rewarding?

Through my experiences, I've learned the importance of responsibility and how it contributes to personal growth. Additionally, navigating different personalities has taught me valuable lessons in communication, adaptability, and empathy. Maintaining discipline, respect, and peace within the house not only fosters a positive environment for recovery but also reinforces these important values in my own life.

Memorable success story?

My own personal journey. When I first arrived, I was overwhelmed by feelings of hopelessness and despair, having all but given up on life. However, through my time in the program, I underwent a remarkable transformation. Pace Recovery became the catalyst for my personal growth and development, enabling me to rediscover hope, resilience, and a renewed sense of purpose. Today, I stand as living proof of the transformative power of this program, a testament to the fact that with dedication and support, it is possible to overcome even the darkest of times and emerge stronger and more resilient than ever before.

What do you find challenging working in this field?

One of the challenges in working in this field is mastering the responsibilities that come with it.

What values or principles guide your approach to supporting the clients?

It is centered around the belief that sharing life experiences can restore hope and commitment to recovery. Recognizing the individual uniqueness of each person is fundamental, as it allows for tailored support that honours their journey. Additionally, honesty, open-mindedness, and willingness are key principles that underpin effective support.

What is your personal mission statement?

To ensure that the environment reflects the standards set by the program.

One of my greatest passions is soccer. I also enjoy interacting with people and staying up to date with world news.
