What inspired you to work in this field?

My own journey from addiction to recovery inspired me to start this with Janine. Getting the professional help I needed and experiencing the transformative power of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) ignited a passion within me to help others navigate similar struggles and find hope and healing.

What motivated you to join the team?

Creating this team was motivated by my deep commitment to supporting individuals and families affected by addiction. My personal experience with addiction and recovery instilled in me a profound desire to help others overcome similar challenges and find their path to recovery and wellness.

What unique qualities or experience do you bring to your role?

I bring firsthand experience with addiction and recovery, as well as a deep understanding of the challenges individuals face in the process. My lived experience allows me to connect with clients on a deeper level and offer understanding support.

What aspects of your job do you find most rewarding?

Witnessing the positive transformations and milestones achieved by clients in their journey to recovery is incredibly rewarding. Seeing individuals reclaim their lives, rebuild relationships, and rediscover hope and purpose brings me profound joy and fulfillment.

Memorable success story?

While I have many memorable success stories, each one serves as a testament to the power of resilience, determination, and support in the journey to recovery. Witnessing clients overcome addiction, rebuild their lives, and achieve long-term recovery is truly inspiring.

What do you find challenging working in this field?

Working in the field of addiction recovery is emotionally demanding and rewarding. It requires a great deal of patience, empathy, and resilience. Witnessing the struggles and setbacks faced by clients, as well as navigating the complexities of addiction treatment and recovery is challenging.

What values or principles guide your approach to supporting the clients?

I prioritize principles of compassion, empathy, and non-judgment in supporting clients on their journey to recovery. Creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel empowered to address their challenges and work towards positive change is central to my approach.

What is your personal mission statement?

Success and its glory for me are knowing I’ve changed lives through my example that starting life over is possible.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, exercise, food, golf, and meditation to recharge and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
