What inspired you to work in this field?
Having personally navigated the challenges of addiction and recovery, I was inspired by how support, understanding, and structured guidance can transform lives. My own journey showed me the power of hope, resilience, and practical tools, and I wanted to dedicate myself to helping others experience the same growth and freedom.
What motivated you to join the team?
Having been a client at PACE myself, I experienced firsthand the life-changing impact of compassionate, structured support. My own recovery journey highlighted the value of stepwork, emotional guidance, and practical tools. Joining the team allows me to draw on that experience to connect authentically with clients, guide them through their recovery, and provide support that truly resonates.
What unique qualities or experience do you bring to your role?
I bring empathy, patience, and insight gained from my own recovery journey. I understand the fears, resistance, and emotional struggles clients face, and can offer guidance that is both practical and personally relatable. My experience enables me to design effective strategies for stepwork, emotional coping, and post-recovery planning while building trust and hope in each client.
What aspects of your job do you find most rewarding?
The most rewarding part of my work is witnessing clients gain clarity, confidence, and a sense of self-worth. Seeing them make progress in stepwork, connect with their Higher Power, and embrace healthier ways of living reminds me of my own journey and the profound impact of genuine support.
Memorable success story?
One particularly memorable experience was supporting a client who faced deep emotional trauma and challenges related to addiction. Through stepwork, tailored exercises, and consistent emotional support, they began to understand themselves, build confidence, and embrace recovery. Witnessing their transformation reminded me of my own path and reinforced the importance of patience, empathy, and personalized care.
What do you find challenging working in this field?
The emotional intensity of working with clients who are navigating trauma and addiction can be challenging. Relapses or setbacks are difficult moments, but my personal recovery experience allows me to approach these challenges with patience, understanding, and practical strategies, knowing that recovery is a journey with ups and downs.
What values or principles guide your approach to supporting the clients?
Empathy, respect, and integrity guide my approach. I meet clients where they are, support their autonomy, and create an environment of trust and non-judgment. My own experience in recovery reinforces the importance of hope, patience, and consistent support, which I aim to model in every interaction.
What is your personal mission statement?
To empower clients with self-awareness, resilience, and tools for recovery, guiding them toward sobriety, confidence, and purpose while honoring their unique journey.
Outside work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, relaxing, and appreciating the peace and beauty of our surroundings. My dogs are like my children, and I love spending quality time with them. I also treasure moments with my son whenever he can visit, enjoying his company and making the most of our time together.
